Marketing/Membership Assistants

Position Summary:  reporting to the marketing/membership manager, our marketing/membership assistants are responsible for providing members with exceptional customer service, increasing membership retention and duties associated with marketing initiatives.

Primary Accountabilities: welcoming and assisting guests with exceptional customer service upon their arrival and departure; acquiring knowledge of all ywca products, services and programs; serving as an informational resource to potential and current members on all ywca membership and program options; efficiently documenting member questions, concerns and/or suggestions; ensuring follow-up in a timely manner; increasing member retention and maintaining positive member experiences by performing ongoing re-call and communication; implementing tasks of marketing plans as needed; embracing and supporting the ywca greater newburyport’s health and wellness culture in promoting all programs throughout the facility to foster optimal wellness for all members and the community as a whole; selling merchandise, maintaining cash drawer and processing credit cards; assisting with and maintaining marketing/membership material displays; answering incoming calls; entering accurate member information into company database; maintaining a professional demeanor, pleasant appearance and overall clean work environment at all times; and performing other related work as required.

Position Qualifications: previous office experience preferred; customer service orientation is mandatory; sales experience is a plus; and some computer experience required.

Our successful candidates, in addition to possessing the above qualifications, will have demonstrated dependability, ability to work independently, capacity to multi-task, and positive attitude in assuming additional responsibilities.
