YWCA Partners with HBO to Promote Historic Television Series No. 1 Ladies Contest Honors Inspirational Women – Win Free Trips to Botswana!
HBO has selected the YWCA to be the national partner for its new television series, The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, that premieres on March 29 and runs for seven episodes on HBO. Based on the internationally-acclaimed best selling book by Alexander McCall Smith, the series achieves historic firsts by featuring a Black woman lead actor, Jill Scott, and an all-Black cast in a series filmed on location in Africa. To celebrate the series, HBO, YWCA and the Botswana Tourism Board are sponsoring a national contest to honor empowered, courageous and inspirational women and will award free trips to Botswana to the winners – you could be the one!
