The Kitchen Project

The eleven women who live at 13 Market Street are excitedly awaiting the arrival of new kitchen appliances! 

Through a generous donation from the Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank and Richard’s Appliance of Salisbury, we are starting this project with a bang. 

Our plan is to update the shared kitchen in our Women’s Residence in order to provide a renovated space for cooking, eating and socializing.  We want to thank many generous donors who attended our Boots, Boogie and Barbeque fundraiser and the Town of Merrimac for the allocation of $17,000 in HOME funds. A big thank you goes out to Juliane Shanely of Red Door Designs whose long conversations with current residents and staff resulted in a beautiful plan. 

The heart of every home is its kitchen and ours will soon be beating strongly!

All Fall rates are effective September 1, 2008. Become a member before August 31, 2008 and lock in Summer introductory rates!
