Throughout the summer, our pools, fitness room, exercise studio, Kid’s Clubhouse and PITA will be up and running with a full menu of drop-in and registered classes, swim lessons, open and lap swims and special events for the whole family.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/Waterfront Certification Course

The YWCA Greater Newburyport is excited to announce that we will be offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/Waterfront Certification Course in our new pool. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive Lifeguard Training, Waterfront, and First Aid certification, valid for 3 years and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification, valid for 1 year. Scamper Camp is back!
Scamper Camp, an exciting morning camp program for children 3 years old to entering kindergarten will return in a blaze of glory this summer. Children will enjoy swimming lessons in the new pool; dancing, movement and fitness in our new exercise studio and projects, art, science and more in the Kid’s Clubhouse.

Kid's Club
Our Kid’s Club for School Aged Youth will be an afternoon camp program - a perfect complement to the fun morning programs being offered by Newburyport Youth Services. Youth entering 1st through 4th grades will have access to swimming lessons, open swims, dance, yoga, fitness activities, projects, science, games and fun in the Kid’s Clubhouse.

School's Out
For those families needing full days of child care this summer, our EEC Licensed School’s Out program is for you. This program will run full days at one of the Newburyport Public Schools. Days will include outdoor fun, sports, art, science, gardening, field trips and general good old fashioned summer fun! Parents can work and rest assured that their children are have a great summer experience.
