Youth Programs
Tae-Kwon-Do | Ages 5+ | Mondays:3:45 – 4:30 pm
Alison Reyes works on building skill and self-esteem in this multi-age class. Students will continue to use the basics of Korean martial art while enjoying the special bond created when all ages work together. Limit 12 participants

Swim n Fun | Ages 18 – 36 mos. | Tuesday 10:10 – 11:30 am
Caregiver and child begin with a 30 minute Aqua-tot swim lesson in the warm water pool at 10:10. After swimming, EEC qualified teacher Dana Vainauskiene then greets your children in the Group exercise room ready to share educational and multicultural experience through music, games, stories, and craft and movement activities. Each week has a new theme to include: “Fun with Balls”, “Under the Sea”, “1-2-3 Go1”, “Animal playground”, “Going on a Trip”, “In the Forest”, “All about Me” and “Fall Picnic.” Limit 10 participants

Membership is not required for swim lessons, however, members do receive a discount. Visit our membership page for more detail on the benefits of becoming a member. Members who have an optimal wellness plan receive an additional discount! Whether you choose to become a member or not, you will need to complete an application the first time you start swim lessons. We recommend you fill in the basic information at home.
refund & transfers
Prior to the first week of classes, refunds will be given less a $20 administrative fee. Unless changed by the YWCA, there is a transfer fee of $20 Membership dues and joiner fees are not refundable.
cancellation
Each class has a minimum enrollment. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the YWCA has the right to cancel the class. You will be given the option to transfer your child into another class, a credit towards another session or a refund. When the Newburyport Public Schools close for inclement weather, the YWCA will cancel classes on that day. All such classes will be rescheduled for the same time period during the week immediately following the final scheduled week of classes.
