After School Programs
After School Programs I 2026-2027
YWCA After – School Program
Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, the YWCA Greater Newburyport’s School’s Out Program provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children in grades K-3. We support working families by offering high-quality after-school care where every child is welcomed and valued, regardless of race, culture, economic status, religion, or family structure.
Our Philosophy
Quality out-of-school programming helps children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. In partnership with Newburyport Youth Services, our program is guided by the 40 Developmental Assets framework, fostering healthy, caring, and responsible young people through strong connections between families, schools, and the community.
Our Goals
We strive to:
- Build confidence and self-worth
- Foster independence, responsibility, and self-discipline
- Provide opportunities for success and exploration
- Support each child’s individual needs
- Create a caring, respectful, and inclusive community
