We are pleased to announce that as of March 3rd, the YWCA Residences at Ingalls Court II in Methuen has been “topped off” and is in the next phase of building, bringing it that much closer to becoming our newest affordable housing unit!
A “Topping Off” ceremony is an opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of all who have successfully brought the building to this point of construction. We’re so thankful for the architects at ICON, LD Russo and all the sub-contractors who are making this project come to life. The YWCA sees its mission reflected in its partners for this project, as the general contractor and architect are both women owned businesses. Additionally, our general contractor is committed to the Commonwealth’s goals of hiring women and minority owned firms. This has been an exceptionally wild winter, and these workers have toiled while exposed to the harsh elements this season has thrown at them. It may not look beautiful yet, but we look forward to the completion of this building and most importantly, to providing new affordable housing to seniors most in need.
