What is YWCA Encore Cancer Program?
“YWCA Greater Newburyport’s Encore Program empowers a diverse community who have experienced cancer to reclaim their confidence and health and wellness through fellowship and gentle exercise.”

YWCA Encore is a free program designed specifically for those who have experienced cancer at any time in their lives. Incorporating gentle exercises, relaxation techniques, information, and access to peer group support, it is safe, fun, and therapeutic. The land exercise program is specially designed to target areas that have been affected by surgery and treatment. Gentle, but effective exercises improve strength,
mobility, and flexibility while the warm water aquatic program relieves affected muscles. In collaboration with the Tough Warrior Princesses, “Warrior Chats”, Peer Support groups are offered the 2nd Thursday of the month at Ovedia Artison Chocolates, 36 Main Street, Amesbury, MA. 7:00 pm.

Gentle Land Exercise: Tuesday/Thursday: 11:30 am
Warm Water Pool Exercise: Monday, 6:00 pm, Tuesday, 12:15 pm, Thursday: 5:15 pm
