It was exciting to have an in-person event once again! We had over 150 supporters attend. Riverwalk Brewing Company created a great atmosphere and provided a delicious meal. The rain passed us by and while it was a little chilly for some, others enjoyed being outside.
We highlighted the impact of racism on our society and how it prevents progress toward solving many of today’s most pressing crises:
ack of affordable childcare
Lack of affordable housing and
Lack of affordable health care for all.
This year’s luncheon provided an opportunity to highlight some of the YWCA’s ongoing and recent work and what we are doing to address those issues:
Providing affordable childcare for working families
Expanding affordable housing opportunities and
Growing free programs for those living with cancer
