Thank you – Martin Luther King: The Art of Racial Justice
December 6, 2022

Thank you for your donation to the 2023 Annual Martin Luther King Jr. event.  I hope you agree that this year’s event was a tremendous success.  We had over 60 people in attendance.  More importantly, the format allowed for serious discussion regarding the life and work of Dr. King.  We were thrilled that Elevated Thought was able to join us for this year’s event.  They did a wonderful job guiding conversations throughout the room.  The artwork created by each table will be displayed in the lobby of the YWCA shortly.  We hope that this will encourage additional conversations as members wait in the lobby for their child’s swim lesson or for their partner to get out of the shower 😊.  Finally, we know that the event was filmed.  We are hopeful to have a link posted on our website soon to share the event with more people.  Amanda Bradbury, our Youth Services Director will be re-vitalizing our Racial Justice Committee by offering more events throughout the year.  If you would like to become more involved, please send her an email (please be patient as we are still understaffed).  Her email is abradbury@ywcanewburyport.org.  Again, thank you for your support of our mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Sincerely,

John Feehan,Executive Director
