As I was watching the film “King in the Wilderness”, I was reminded of the phrase, “those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.” Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule for this important form that helps us learn from past acts of racism.
If we can convince more people to join us in calling our racist behavior and changing it, maybe we we won’t be doomed to repeat it.
YWCA Greater Newburyport is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
We are grateful to you, Flatbread Pizza, Garrison Inn, Chococoa Baking Company and the Firehouse Theater for the Arts for helping us bring this powerful movie to Newburyport.
